∎ Job Description: BLAST is looking for a Project Coordinator for its Combating Gender Based Violence (CGBV) project which is being implemented in partnership with UN Women. The Project Coordinator must be a highly motivated individual with a proven track record of work on GBV, project management and donor reporting, and will coordinate and lead the project activities, especially the coordination of the Rape Law Reform Coalition. The Project Coordinator will help facilitate BLAST`s efforts to implement law and policy reform to eliminate gender discriminatory provisions and practices that hinder access to justice for GBV victims in Bangladesh.
∎ Project Description: The CGBV project aims to strengthen the law and policy framework on GBV, with special focus on sexual violence through rigorous legal research and the establishment of the Rape Law Reform Coalition, comprising of CSOs, women`s rights groups and government bodies, to facilitate discussion of GBV response and create a shared knowledge base on justice for sexual violence.
∎ Job Location: Project Coordinator will be based in Dhaka (need to travel Comilla, Patuakhali and Bogra for field visit)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Ensure that programme activities are completed as per organizational plans and donor requirements;
∎ Coordinate project activities relating to research, communications and advocacy meetings and prepare monthly, quarterly, half yearly and annual reports to illustrate project progress to the donor;
∎ Prepare notes and take initiative for approval regarding different events, meetings and logistic support for the project operations
∎ Organize, attend and conduct different project meetings, workshops, seminars, training as required; including correspondence with speakers, press and participants
∎ Collect and maintain documentation regarding advocacy and research meetings, donor correspondence and all relevant materials related to the project
∎ Assist to maintain internal and external communications, including with the member organisations of Rape Law Reform Coalition and Citizens Initiatives on Domestic Violence (CIDV) Coalition, consortium partners of the project, government ministries and agencies relating to project implementation and compliance issue i.e. DC certificate for NGOAB
∎ Contribute to periodic project reports (especially results based reporting on project progress) and event reports as required by assisting and follow up with advocacy and research focal of the project.
∎ Ensure adequate systems are in place and followed, regarding program procurements, management and maintenance of project assets and also proper inventories;
∎ Track performance against project timelines, budget, objectives and deliverable;
∎ Ensure that lessons learned from this project are effectively documented and communicated
∎ Manage and archive project files and other supporting materials securely and safely;
∎ Perform any other duties as and when required by the management;

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 3 year(s) of professional work experience relating to project management and GBV related issues.
∎ Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation and organizational skills
∎ High proficiency in both written and spoken English and Bangla.
∎ Excellent understanding of issues relating to GBV (with special emphasis on sexual violence and domestic violence).
∎ Excellent ability to undertake donor reporting to show project progess, including

Salary: Tk. 45000 (Monthly)
