Background
Nagorik Uddyog is a national level human rights and development organization working in Bangladesh to promote social justice, strengthen democratic governance, and advance the rights of marginalized and excluded communities. The organization has designed a project titled ‘DISHA (Designing Inclusive Services through Human-centred Approaches)’ with the goal of strengthening inclusive, citizen-centered, and accountable public and CSO service delivery through mainstreaming the integration of Human Centered Design (HCD), co-creation, and a structured participation approach. The two-years long project will work on strengthening capacities of CSOs and government actors in Human-Centered Design; enabling stakeholders to jointly design and test solutions to real service challenges at local level; developing inclusive, citizen-centered service solutions and participation formats; fostering sustainable collaboration between CSOs, citizens, and government actors; and creating a network of HCD facilitators to apply and replicate the approach.
Job Summary
The Program Officer will support field implementation, stakeholder coordination, activity management, and operational follow-up for the project.
Job Context: (Contractual – Project Based)
Job Location: Dhaka, with field travel as required
Reporting Relationship
The programme officer will report to the Project Coordinator.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate implementation of field-level project activities.
Support organization of workshops, training, and consultation sessions.
Maintain regular communication with local stakeholders and community representatives.
Prepare activity reports and implementation updates.
Monitor implementation progress and identify operational challenges.
Support community mobilization and engagement processes.
Assist in documentation and reporting activities.
Ensure field activities are aligned with project objectives and timelines.
Support execution of project activities according to approved implementation schedules.
Coordinate participant communication and confirmation for workshops, training sessions, co-creation labs, and consultations.
Support onboarding and coordination of CSOs, facilitators, LGIs, and community stakeholders.
Maintain implementation trackers, activity calendars, and follow-up systems.
Coordinate venue arrangements, workshop materials, participant logistics, and field-level operational requirements.
Support field visits, stakeholder consultations, citizen engagement activities, and service design sessions.
Assist facilitators and technical teams during HCD exercises, group work, and co-creation workshops.
Maintain records of attendance, participant feedback, workshop outputs, and implementation documentation.
Support collection of stories of change, field observations, and activity photographs.
Support preparation of activity reports, meeting minutes, presentations, and implementation summaries.
Follow up with stakeholders on action points and implementation deadlines.
Salary: Tk. 40000 - 45000 (Monthly) Two yearly bonus (equivalent to one month`s salary)
