Responsibilities & Context:

Background

Nagorik Uddyog is a national level human rights and development organization working in Bangladesh to promote social justice, strengthen democratic governance, and advance the rights of marginalized and excluded communities. The organization has designed a project titled ‘DISHA (Designing Inclusive Services through Human-centred Approaches)’ with the goal of strengthening inclusive, citizen-centered, and accountable public and CSO service delivery through mainstreaming the integration of Human Centered Design (HCD), co-creation, and a structured participation approach. The two-years long project will work on strengthening capacities of CSOs and government actors in Human-Centered Design; enabling stakeholders to jointly design and test solutions to real service challenges at local level; developing inclusive, citizen-centered service solutions and participation formats; fostering sustainable collaboration between CSOs, citizens, and government actors; and creating a network of HCD facilitators to apply and replicate the approach.

Job Summary

The MEAL Specialist will lead the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) functions of the project while ensuring systematic documentation of project processes, outcomes, lessons learned, and innovations.

Job Context: (Contractual – Project Based)

Job Location: Dhaka, with field travel as required

Reporting Relationship

  • The MEAL Specialist will report to the Project Coordinator and work under guidance and in close collaboration with the Senior Program Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop MEAL frameworks, indicator tracking systems, and reporting tools for the project.

  • Design data collection systems for workshops, co-creation labs, pilot activities, and community engagement sessions.

  • Coordinate baseline, monitoring, reflection, and learning activities.

  • Capture implementation learning related to HCD application within CSOs and LGIs.

  • Develop case studies, learning briefs, success stories, and evidence-based documentation.

  • Support the development of repositories of project knowledge, tools, and implementation learning.

  • Lead baseline and endline research and UX scorecard for service design.

  • Guide data analysis and prepare donor reports and progress updates.

  • Ensure data quality, accountability, and ethical data management practices.

  • Facilitate learning reflection sessions with project teams and stakeholders.

  • Support documentation of implementation progress, learning, challenges, and good practices.

  • Maintain records of attendance, participation, workshop outputs, and implementation evidence.

  • Support development of case studies, stories of change, and learning briefs.

  • Coordinate with HCD teams and facilitators to capture implementation insights and citizen feedback.

  • Coordinate with communication teams for the development of knowledge and visibility products.

  • Prepare monitoring reports, presentations, update dashboards, and donor reporting inputs.

  • Ensure quality, accuracy, and timely submission of monitoring data and documentation.



Job Other Benifits:
    • Salary: Tk. 70000 - 75000 (Monthly) Two yearly bonus (equivalent to one month`s salary)

    • Festival Bonus: 2 (Yearly)
