Responsibilities & Context:
  • Lead the entire team of designers, product developers, and fabric coordinators, focusing on in-house strength & capabilities.
  • Cover the whole product range from the style analysis up to the garment, ensuring correct fabrics & garment construction and value addition.
  • Retain a strong comprehension of business development through line development, design specifications, & product marketing.
  • Develop/modify products to improve production efficiency and quality, and liaise with those involved in the production process.
  • Provide strong and consistent product direction; own the process of balancing the range to include the development of seasonal key looks and fashion items.
  • Provide trend analysis of colors, styles, and details utilizing different design sources & global trend research and meet up with global trends in apparel, fabrics, & graphic design and implementation.
  • Introduce new customers while maintaining strong business relationships with existing customers and adopt appropriate methods of researching, analyzing, and interpreting.
  • Educate the production team with the new garments, fabrics, and embellishment techniques.
  • Develop yearly 2 full collections along with small capsule collections through continuous R&D in terms of fabrics, styling, garment construction, and costing.
  • Recommend methods for improving the utilization of personnel, materials, and utilities.
  • Ensure cost reduction by reducing all kinds of wastage.
  • Ensure safety, quality, and compliance activities in the workplace.
  • Evaluate staff performance, ensure departmental discipline, identify training needs, and manage their career development.
