Responsibilities & Context:

• Provide primary medical care and first aid to employees for illnesses and workplace injuries.

• Assess, diagnose, and treat common health conditions within the scope of practice.

• Handle medical emergencies and coordinate referrals to hospitals when necessary.

• Maintain accurate medical records and employee health files while ensuring confidentiality.

• Conduct pre-employment, periodic, and return-to-work medical examinations.

• Monitor employees with chronic illnesses and provide appropriate follow-up care.

• Administer vaccinations, health screenings, and preventive healthcare programs.

• Educate employees on health, hygiene, nutrition, disease prevention, and healthy lifestyles.

• Identify occupational health hazards and recommend preventive measures.

• Work closely with the Health & Safety (HSE/EHS) team to reduce workplace accidents and illnesses.

• Ensure the factory clinic is properly equipped with medicines, medical supplies, and emergency equipment.

• Supervise nurses, paramedics, and clinic staff, if applicable.

• Prepare medical reports and submit required documentation to management and relevant authorities.

• Support compliance with local labor laws, occupational health regulations, and buyer compliance requirements.

• Participate in emergency preparedness activities, including fire drills and disaster response planning.

• Counsel employees on physical and mental health concerns and refer them to specialists when necessary.
