Educational Requirements:
∎ Minimum Graduation with a major related to any Textiles subject
Experience Requirements:
∎ 2 to 3 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Need a good understanding of the design process involved within the fashion environment, understand apparel to executable samples.
∎ Producing detailed tech packs and following complete development of a product from initial drawings to final sample.
∎ Leads fittings and works closely with the tech team on sample execution.
∎ Allocate samples and source raw materials from appropriate factories and mills.
∎ Actively participate in meetings with Design, and Merchants.
∎ Work on alternative solutions so garments meet cost requirements.
∎ liaising with factories and also, when required need to visit factories to follow the progress and check production, sourcing trims, and fabrics.
∎ Communicate and alert senior management to all high-level issues in an urgent timely manner.
∎ Review any escalated issues and determine action steps which may include: Giving direction to the coordinator to execute, reaching out to Vendor / Agent to work on solutions and/or escalating to the supervisor.
∎ Ensure initiatives, tools, and systems are being implemented and maintained. Monitor the use of systems over time.
∎ Perform other duties as required.
Additional Requirements:
∎ A minimum of 2-3 years of work experience as a Denim developer is a must
∎ Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
∎ Ability to view and differentiate the color spectrum
∎ Knowledge of denim fabric and wash process
