• Strong technical knowledge of woven fabrics, garment construction, product development and production processes. 

• Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CLO 3D). 

• Excellent sketching, illustration, and presentation skills. 

• Strong trend awareness and the ability to translate trends into commercially successful designs. 

• Ability to work effectively within a team and communicate clearly with cross-functional teams (sourcing, merchandising, production). 

• Attention to detail with strong organizational and multitasking skills. 

• A portfolio demonstrating expertise in woven ladieswear, specifically tops, is required.

Job Context

• We are seeking a talented and experienced Product Designer & Developer specializing in woven ladieswear, focusing on tops only, to join our dynamic design team. As a key contributor, you will play a vital role in the creation, development, and execution of innovative and stylish woven tops that align with our brand vision and meet the latest market trends. 

Job Responsibilities: -

• Design and develop woven ladieswear tops from concept through to production, ensuring creative and technical excellence. 

• Research and analyze current fashion trends, competitor products, and market demands to create cutting-edge designs. 

• Work closely with the merchandising team to understand customer preferences and business requirements. 

• Prepare technical sketches, mood boards, and fabric selections that align with seasonal themes. 

• Collaborate with sourcing and production teams to select appropriate fabrics and trims while ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality standards. 

• Oversee sample development, provide design amendments, and conduct fit sessions to ensure products meet quality and aesthetic expectations. 

• Stay updated with emerging technologies and materials in woven fabric to enhance product innovation. 

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and designs are production-ready.
