Job Title:
Senior Marketing Manager – European Client Portfolio (Garments)
Role Overview:
Lead the strategic development and management of a diversified portfolio of European apparel clients (“client bank”), driving sustainable revenue growth, margin optimization, and long-term partnerships. Act as the primary commercial interface between European buyers and internal cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment across product development, sourcing, compliance, and supply chain execution.
Core Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Client Portfolio Management
Own and manage a structured European client bank (key accounts across markets such as Germany, UK, France, Scandinavia, Benelux)
Develop annual business plans for each client, including revenue targets, margin expectations, and product category expansion
Segment clients based on value, growth potential, and strategic alignment
Build multi-level relationships (buying, technical, sustainability, sourcing teams)
2. Business Development & Commercial Leadership
Identify and onboard new European brands/retailers aligned with company capabilities
Lead commercial negotiations including pricing architecture, payment terms, and contract frameworks
Drive margin improvement strategies through cost engineering and value-added services
Position the company as a preferred sourcing partner rather than a transactional supplier
3. Product & Market Strategy
Translate European market trends into commercially viable product proposals
Collaborate with design and R&D teams on seasonal developments and innovation pipelines
Lead category growth strategies (e.g., knitwear, outerwear, athleisure, sustainable lines)
Align offerings with evolving EU consumer expectations (sustainability, traceability, circularity)
4. End-to-End Order & Supply Chain Oversight
Oversee the full order lifecycle: development → costing → confirmation → production → shipment
Ensure cross-functional alignment with merchandising, sourcing, production, and logistics teams
Proactively mitigate risks (capacity constraints, raw material delays, compliance issues)
Maintain high on-time-in-full (OTIF) delivery performance
5. Compliance, Sustainability & Risk Management
Ensure adherence to European regulatory frameworks (e.g., European Union standards such as REACH, ESG expectations, due diligence laws)
Lead client-facing sustainability initiatives (traceability, certifications, recycled materials)
Manage audit processes and continuous improvement plans across factories
6. Financial & Performance Management
Drive revenue growth, profitability, and cost control across the client portfolio
Monitor key KPIs: contribution margin, order conversion rate, client retention, and growth pipeline
Prepare forecasting, budgeting, and management reports for leadership
7. Leadership & Stakeholder Management
Mentor merchandising/marketing teams and build a high-performance culture
Act as escalation point for critical client or production issues
Represent the company in international meetings, trade fairs, and client visits
Candidate Profile:
Experience:
8–15+ years in garments marketing/merchandising with strong exposure to European markets
Proven track record managing key accounts and growing a client portfolio
Experience working with major EU brands/retailers or buying houses
Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Textile Engineering, Fashion Management, Business, or related field
Core Competencies:
Strategic account management & client banking
Advanced negotiation and commercial acumen
Deep understanding of garment costing and supply chain dynamics
Knowledge of EU compliance, sustainability, and sourcing trends
Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills
Key Success Metrics:
Portfolio revenue growth (YoY)
Gross margin improvement

New client acquisition within Europe
