Job Summary
We are looking for a driven Sales & Marketing Executive to grow market presence and sales of our rice products. The role focuses on developing distribution channels, managing customer relationships, executing marketing campaigns, and achieving revenue targets across retail, wholesale, and institutional buyers.
Key Responsibilities
Sales
Identify and develop new customers (retailers, wholesalers, distributors, hotels, restaurants, and institutional buyers).
Maintain strong relationships with existing customers to ensure repeat business.
Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets and expand market coverage.
Negotiate pricing, contracts, and payment terms within company guidelines.
Monitor competitor activity, pricing, and market trends in the rice category.
Coordinate with logistics and production teams to ensure timely deliveries.
Marketing
Plan and execute marketing activities to promote rice varieties (e.g., basmati, non-basmati, organic, premium).
Support branding initiatives, in-store promotions, sampling, and trade marketing activities.
Collect customer and consumer feedback to improve product positioning.
Assist with packaging, labeling, and promotional material development.
Support digital marketing efforts (social media, WhatsApp marketing, local promotions) where applicable.
Reporting & Administration
Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis.
Maintain accurate records of customers, orders, and collections.
Represent the company at trade fairs, exhibitions, and local market events.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Agriculture, or a related field (preferred).
1–5 years of experience in FMCG, food grains, or agricultural product sales (rice experience is a plus).
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Knowledge of local/regional rice markets and distribution channels.
Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
Basic computer skills (MS Excel, CRM tools).
