Job Context
Zahid Steel Limited is seeking a dynamic, results-oriented, and experienced AGM – Marketing & Business Development (Steel Building) to lead the company's business growth initiatives in the steel construction sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, strengthening client relationships, preparing strategic marketing plans, and achieving sales targets for Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEB), structural steel buildings, and related engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategic marketing and business development plans to achieve company sales objectives.
Prepare detailed fabrication and erection drawings for Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEB) and Structural Steel Buildings and Analysis.
Understanding RCC Building Design and Drawing, Analysis, Bill of Materials (BOM), cutting lists, and material take-offs.
Identify and secure new business opportunities in industrial, commercial, warehouse, factory, infrastructure, and institutional projects.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, architects, contractors, developers, and government organizations.
Generate qualified leads through direct marketing, networking, industry events, and strategic partnerships.
Lead the preparation of technical and commercial proposals, quotations, tender submissions, and contract negotiations.
Coordinate closely with the engineering, estimation, production, and project management and design teams to ensure timely and competitive project delivery.
Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and identify emerging business opportunities.
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets while ensuring sustainable business growth.
Prepare sales forecasts, business reports, and performance presentations for management.
Supervise, mentor, and motivate the marketing and business development team.
Ensure high customer satisfaction through effective communication and after-sales support.
Represent the company in client meetings, exhibitions, seminars, and other business forums, associations and chamber.
Huge knowledge of marketing and of industrial rack and furniture.
Knowledge of International Marketing.
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (BBA), Marketing, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
MBA or a relevant postgraduate qualification will be considered an advantage.
Experience Requirements
Minimum 05–15 years of experience in marketing, sales, and business development.
At least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the Steel Building, Pre-Engineered Building (PEB), Structural Steel, Construction, Engineering, or Industrial Products, Rack and Furniture sector.
Proven track record of achieving business growth and leading successful sales teams.
Additional Requirements
Strong understanding of the Bangladesh steel building and construction market.
Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills.
Experience in tendering, contract management, and project-based sales.
Ability to develop long-term business strategies and execute them effectively.
Strong leadership, team management, and decision-making capabilities.
Excellent communication skills in both Bangla and English.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); familiarity with CRM software is an advantage.
Willingness to travel across Bangladesh and abroad for client visits and business development activities.
