• An in-depth knowledge and experience of cutting process, knit fabrics characterises.

• Up-to-date knowledge and skills in garment manufacturing.

• Up-to-date knowledge on modern cutting machinery/Equipment.

• Monitor all the cutting and preparation phases necessary to produce garments in the allotted time

• Monitor cutting production and ensure optimum utilization of man, machine and material in the cutting section.

• Increase the productivity and reduce labour cost through updating the information i.e. problem faced on daily basis and giving target to the workers with the help of in-charge and supervisor.

• Control, execute and ensure the projected budget as per the company plan.

• Discuss daily with the planning and dyeing department regarding fabric requirements.

• Monitor and ensure all quality parameters, such as consistent color and GSM, for cut panels entering the sewing line.

• Apply the cutting procedures and standards stated in the cutting agreement

• Ensure to manage the consumption and wastages as per the budget given by Merchandising department.

• Understand the buyers’ requirement and implement the necessary procedures in the cutting department.

• Monitor and ensure strong vigilance against the mixing of good-quality fabrics with marker waste.   

• Evaluate staff performance, ensure floor discipline, identify training needs, and manage their career development.

• Ensure cost reduction by applying all technique to minimise marker wastage and reduce extra hour work.

• Lead safety, quality and compliance activities in workplace to ensure zero Non Compliance.

• Ensure and maintain a clean and tidy site.

• Handle other responsibilities and projects, as assigned from time to time
