Key Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in risk engineering, fire safety, or process safety.
• Proven experience working in multinational or multidisciplinary environments.
• Strong ability to interpret and apply fire safety and process safety codes (e.g., NFPA, AS, API).
• Experience with risk and fire modelling software (e.g., EFFECTS, PHAST, FDS, SAFETI, or equivalent).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong leadership, project management, and mentoring capabilities.
• Willingness to work remotely in an Australian time zone.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Based in Chittagong, Bangladesh, with remote support and collaboration with Melbourne, Australia.
• Salary will be commensurate with experience.

Process Safety and Risk Engineering Lead

Risk and Safety Solutions Melbourne (RSSM) is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Process Safety and Risk Engineering Lead to join our dynamic and expanding team. This role will lead fire and process safety assessments, support complex engineering projects, and provide technical leadership across a diverse portfolio of industries, including renewable energy, manufacturing, and infrastructure.

This role supports our Melbourne, Australia-based operations from our new office in Chittagong, Bangladesh. The successful candidate will work closely with the Australian team on fire safety, process safety, and risk management projects across various industries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage Fire Safety Studies (FSS), Preliminary Hazard Analysis (PHA), Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOP), and other risk assessments for industrial and energy projects.
• Provide specialist advice on Dangerous Goods (DG) management, Process Safety, and Risk Engineering?
• Interpret and apply internal and international standards such as Australian Standards (AS), NFPA, API, FM Global, etc.
• Support business development activities, including proposal preparation, technical presentations, and client engagement.
• Mentor and supervise junior risk engineers and consultants.
• Review and develop technical documentation, including fire safety reports, emergency response plans, and design recommendations.
