Job Context:
∎ JOB PURPOSE: Policy analysts identify issues or policy areas to explore, collect and analyze information, as required by the policy advocacy team to achieve the BRAC`s /advocacy strategy.
∎ SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme`s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Provide support to the team lead to produce advocacy and communications material to publicize information on BRAC priorities through preparing reports, policy briefs, briefing notes, concept notes, meeting minutes, event reports.
∎ Conduct research and analysis on specific policy issues for developing future advocacy plans.
∎ Study and analyze national policy environment and situation to provide necessary and useful information to the Team Lead of Policy Advocacy to take timely initiative for influencing specific policies to the best interest of BRAC.
∎ Provide support in designing, organizing, and coordinating policy dialogues
∎ Support the Team Lead of Policy Advocacy to find the scope of resource mobilization
∎ Assist in scanning the policy space to identify emerging policy priority areas and initiate reports and concept notes to conduct relevant evidence generation initiatives.
∎ Prepare various report summaries and briefs for High officials and policymakers.
∎ Provide any other support to senior management if needed and other units of ASC.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking, policy development, and fluent written/spoken English .
∎ A common understanding of policymaking, the legislative process, and the government structure of Bangladesh.
∎ Knowledge of current development policy trends and frameworks, especially the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) .
∎ Understanding of essential research tools and techniques
∎ Experience in developing advocacy objectives and influencing tactics
∎ Experience in planning, developing, and managing projects or events.
∎ 5 years' experience in the relevant field is required
