Responsibilities & Context:
- The Position is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the transportation department, ensuring efficient and safe transport services. This role involves managing the fleet, coordinating with drivers, maintaining compliance with safety regulations, optimizing transport operations to support the organization's goals, planning and coordinating vehicle schedules.
- To ensure compliance with transportation regulations.
- To oversee the maintenance and repair of vehicles.
- To manage drivers and support staff and optimizing routes to improve efficiency.
- To prepare and submit regular reports on transport operations.
- To handle any transport-related inquiries or issues.
- To identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
