1. Operate pumping equipment’s, softening plant, waste water treatment system as per requirement of the Steel plant, ASU and for other utilities including transfer of makeup water from the raw water reservoir.   
2. Read and monitor all the flow meters and gauges to regulate equipment’s according to water consumption and demand
3. Monitor pressure, temperature and flow of the closed circuit to regulate the related equipment’s; manual feeding of the soft water, cooling tower fan etc.
4. Inspect equipment’s (pump, cooling tower, heat exchanger, strainer etc.) to detect malfunctions, such as pump leaks or any abnormalities.
5. Maintain the level of chemical dosing station tank and ensure the chemical dosing as required. 
6. Record data, such as utilization of equipment, power consumption and water output in log.
7. Test water quality as per established quality standard.
8. Optimize the operation of the plant equipment’s to ensure the optimum energy consumption, like electricity.
9. Operate compressor as required for plant.
10. Operate gantry crane for removing scale from scale pit.
11. Ensure housekeeping and perform all work as per established safety procedures
