Job context

KDS Logistics Ltd., the logistics wing of KDS Group, situated in Chittagong; has been leading the ICD/OFF DOCK industry since a long time with the best-in-class services to its clients. We are looking for young, energetic, dynamic, self-motivated and proactive person to perform the role of an Officer / Trainee Officer under “Automation & Systems (IT)” department. The incumbent will have to play the role in the dynamic ICD/OFF Dock Industry.

Software Development Responsibilities:

Designing and Building Software:

• Designing, coding, and testing new software applications or features, ensuring they meet the specified requirements.

• Guide software products through the SDLC, from initial concept to deployment and maintenance.

• Managing code documentation and version control systems.

• Working in an agile environment, potentially using sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and other agile practices. 

• Programming Languages: Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., VB, PHP, SQL, MySQL, Python, Java, JavaScript, C++). 

• Experience with databases and database management systems. 

• Writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code is crucial for maintainability and collaboration.

• Identifying and resolving software bugs and issues is an essential part of the role.

• Working with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, designers, and other developers, is often necessary. 

Software Support Responsibilities:

Technical Support:

• Providing technical support to users, addressing their questions and resolving software-related issues.

• Diagnosing and resolving software defects and system issues using debugging tools and logs.

• Creating and maintaining technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and user guides.

• Gathering and analyzing user feedback to identify areas for software improvement.

• Escalating complex issues to engineering teams and collaborating on solutions.

• Training and mentoring junior support engineers, if applicable.
