Job Context:
∎ JOB PURPOSE: BRAC operations are impacted by security incidents involving BRAC occurring throughout Bangladesh and in other countries where BRAC has its operations; moreover, the security environment also has impact on BRAC activities. Security Control Center is established to serve as the center where all such security incidents are recorded and necessary measures are taken on 24/7 basis. The center should be manned by professional staff competent to handle such situation in a professional manner.
∎ SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Receive and record all information of security incidents affecting BRAC and BRAC International
∎ Take immediate measures to handle the situation and contact relevant BRAC managers or any other agencies to tackle the situation
∎ Maintain all records related to the incident or occurrence
∎ Make regular follow up of incidents recorded and keep higher management posted
∎ Monitor daily security situation through media and other sources and keep the management updated
∎ Make a preliminary analysis of security incidents and of security environment and submit to the appropriate authority
∎ Assisting BRAC staff to get police or other agencies involved, drafting of GD/ FIR etc.
∎ Perform all other duties as directed by Security Specialist.
∎ Monitor CCTV and intervene if necessary
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 14 years
∎ Computer skill
∎ Operating skills on security Surveillance equipment
∎ Clear knowledge about handling security issues
∎ Updated knowledge about security and political situation affecting BRAC and Brac International
∎ Clear knowledge about BRAC security policy procedures
∎ Competent to take decision in a critical situation
∎ Team work
∎ Minimum 2 years of working experience in relevant field. Experience in law enforcement / military / security Operations will be preferred.
Salary: Negotiable
