Educational Requirements:
∎ Master’s Degree in preferably in Urban and Regional/Rural Planning, Statistics, Environmental/Climate Science, Communications, Journalism, Development Studies, Disaster Management or any other relevant discipline from any recognised institute.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 5 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Provide with support for organization of and participation in the co-creation workshop, which includes identifying and inviting all key stakeholders; working with the systems change consultant to finalize the facilitation plan and agenda; engaging local notetakers; and providing other support as needed.
∎ Provide with support for continuous learning and adaptation (using the results of the co-creation workshop) as per the project’s global MERL plan.
∎ Complete quarterly compilation of monitoring and evaluation indicators for project reporting.
∎ Support to develop descriptions of MERL activities, invite proposals from eligible local research organizations, supervise research activities, and synthesize outcome of research for project reports and/or journal manuscripts.
∎ Work closely with the global knowledge management and communications team of the project to develop a local communication plan for the city.
∎ Identify effective communication mechanisms to ensure proper brand identification at the city level and increase visibility of project work and success stories at both city and country level.
∎ Participate in cross-city team meetings with the project team/implementation partners.
∎ Keep well-informed of current initiatives in relation to information management and communication both in the public and private sectors.
∎ Assist the city office as needed for effective implementation of the project.
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 28 years
∎ At least 05 years of relevant experience in a national or international development organisation at an equivalent position.
∎ Candidates having working experience with projects related to Urban Development or Climate Change will be given preference.
∎ Good knowledge on Windows & Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point).
∎ Good Report writing skills.
∎ Excellent organisation and coordination skills.
∎ Strong and effective communication and presentation skills.
