Experience:
02–03 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
Exceptional candidates with strong skills, exposure, and demonstrated competence may be considered even if they do not fully meet the experience requirement.
Adequate knowledge of Bangladesh Labor Law & Rules, EPZ Labor Law & Rules, ILO Conventions, and Codes of Conduct (COC) of prominent brands.
Familiarity with SLCP, BSCI, C-TPAT, RSC, NIRAPON, BNBC, NFPA, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, Higg Index, and other compliance frameworks.
Strong understanding of Occupational Health & Safety (OHS), Fire Safety, Building Safety, and Electrical Safety.
Proactive, responsible, self-motivated, and able to work independently under pressure.
Strong analytical and communication skills to identify risks and resolve issues effectively.
Proficient in computer operation and common MS Office applications.
Data analysis and presentation skills will definitely be an advantage
Job Context
The Officer will support the CSR/ Compliance Team in driving the company’s short- and long-term social compliance objectives, contributing to ethical, responsible, and sustainable business practices.
Job Responsibilities
Implement and maintain compliance-related policies and procedures.
Ensure the facility’s compliance with all applicable local and international legal requirements.
Resolve compliance issues efficiently, maintain a safe and healthy working environment, and ensure continuous audit readiness.
Provide regular training to employees on compliance-related topics, policies, and procedures.
Ensure labor law compliance and uniform application of social compliance and human rights standards across the organization.
Prepare, maintain, and regularly update all compliance-related documents and registers.
Ensure the day-to-day smooth operation of the compliance program.
Assist in preparing for all types of audits (Social, Environmental, and Buyer Codes of Conduct).
Monitor worker health and safety, fire safety, and workplace incidents, and conduct root cause analysis.
Identify non-conformities, ensure systematic corrective actions, and track their closure.
Prepare, implement, and manage Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) for both internal and external audit findings.
