∎ Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Textile Engineering, Fashion Merchandising, or Business Administration.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Experience: 7-12 years in knit, woven, and sweater merchandising, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial role.
∎ Skills:
∎ Strong negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
∎ Deep knowledge of knit, woven, and sweater production processes.
∎ Experience in costing, pricing strategies, and market analysis.
∎ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) & ERP software.
∎ Ability to handle multiple buyers and work under pressure.
∎ Language: Fluent in English & Bengali (spoken and written).
∎ Preferred: Experience working with European, US, and Asian buyers.
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Buyer & Client Relationship Management:
∎ Develop and maintain strong business relationships with buyers, international brands, and local agents.
∎ Understand buyer requirements and ensure expectations are met throughout production.
∎ Negotiate prices, order quantities, and delivery schedules to maximize profitability.
∎ Product Development & Sampling:
∎ Work closely with the design, R&D, and production teams to develop new knit, woven, and sweater products.
∎ Oversee sample development, approvals, and adjustments as per buyer feedback.
∎ Ensure product designs align with buyer specifications and market trends.
∎ Order Management & Execution:
∎ Receive and confirm orders, ensuring proper documentation and approvals.
∎ Issue purchase orders for raw materials such as yarn, fabrics, trims, and accessories.
∎ Track order progress, ensuring production meets deadlines and quality standards.
∎ Solve any issues related to production delays, materials, or quality concerns.
∎ Supplier & Factory Coordination:
∎ Manage relationships with fabric mills, dyeing houses, and accessory suppliers.
∎ Ensure the procurement of high-quality raw materials at competitive prices.
∎ Coordinate with production and quality teams to maintain efficiency and compliance.
∎ Quality Assurance & Compliance:
∎ Ensure production meets buyer-specified quality control and compliance standards.
∎ Work closely with QA teams to conduct in-line and final inspections.
∎ Implement corrective measures for any quality-related issues.
∎ Shipment & Documentation:
∎ Ensure timely shipment by coordinating with logistics and shipping teams.
∎ Oversee preparation of required documents (packing list, invoices, Bill of Lading, etc.).
∎ Track shipping schedules and update buyers accordingly.
∎ Costing & Profitability Analysis:
∎ Conduct detailed costing for knit, woven, and sweater orders, including materials, labor, and overhead costs.
∎ Ensure profitability by optimizing cost structures while maintaining quality.
∎ Negotiate pricing with suppliers and buyers to achieve the best financial outcomes.
