Job Context:
∎ Under the general guidance of company and within the limit of the company`s policies, procedures and practice the purpose of the position is to establish and implement effective merchandising maintaining effective liaison with concern stakeholders and statutory bodies.
∎ Selected candidates will be allocated in Banasree, Rampura, Dhaka
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Sourcing and Vendor Management: Identify and develop relationships with reputable suppliers and manufacturers.
∎ Inquire about prices and arrange for all fabric and trims from local and overseas suppliers for new requests.
∎ Monitor supplier performance and compliance to maintain product quality and reliability.
∎ Calculate style-wise costing, consumption, and negotiate prices with buyers.
∎ Product Development and Sampling: Collaborate with Buyers to understand their specific product requirements.
∎ Coordinate the product development process, including fabric selection, design, and sampling.
∎ Oversee sample development from quotation sample to production sample.
∎ Responsible for price quotation and sourcing fabric & trims locally and overseas for new samples.
∎ Attend pre-production meetings and provide technical solutions to the quality and production departments when needed.
∎ Ensure sample approvals meet Buyer expectations and quality standards.
∎ Production Management: Manage order execution and follow-up from order receipt to shipment.
∎ Coordinate with suppliers to ensure efficient production while maintaining quality control.
∎ Co-coordinate capacity management and address overbooked capacity issues proactively.
∎ Review daily production status and anticipate upcoming issues to ensure on-time shipment with the right quality and quantity.
∎ Ensure effective communication between Buyers and internal teams to meet Buyer expectations.
∎ Proactively handle Buyer feedback and concerns to maintain Buyer satisfaction.
∎ Cost Management: Manage the budget for sourcing, production, and related activities.
∎ Seek opportunities to optimize costs while maintaining product quality and meeting Buyer expectations.
∎ General Responsibilities: Coordinate with factory team for proper and timely execution of production.
∎ Follow the processes and procedures of buyers.
∎ Advise factory, production, and quality teams on fabric, production, and quality-related technical issues.
∎ Lead the team or act as an effective team member understanding company and buyer Code of Conduct.
∎ Ensure quality execution of orders up to the shipment of goods, maintaining an effective Time and Action (TNA) plan.
∎ Assist the local procurement team in sourcing trims/accessories as required while maintaining standards.
∎ Maintain effective follow-up on materials inventory, production processes, quality standards, and team performance.
∎ Undertake any special tasks or assignments as required by the company.
