∎ B.Sc in Textile Engineering (Apparels Manufacturing Technology) /Technical qualification on Textile/ Fashion Design will be an added advantage.

∎ Well experience of working with US based volume customer.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ This position is that of Merchandiser / Senior Merchandiser (Knit,Woven,Undergarments, Inner wear ) and the incumbent is responsible for overall activities and outcome of an assigned segment of business account with absolute integrity and honesty and responsibility.
∎ Sound knowledge of production.Monitor production and ensures time schedule of shipment and quality of garments.
∎ Costing and confirmation of price, placement of orders, etc of all Knit & Woven product.
∎ Must have very good knowledge of garments (Knit & Woven).
∎ Must have understanding of fabric terms (Knowledge of all types particularly Knit & Woven fabrics).
∎ Should have adequate knowledge of Knit & Woven washing techniques.
∎ Should have merchandising knowledge on Knit & Woven and various Knit & Woven washes along with costing.
∎ Monitor opening of BTB- LC's (by the factory) and processing of shipping documents; follow-up with Forwarder, Shipping Agent, liaison with Bank etc.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Should be able to anticipate and provide solutions to the problems.
∎ Should be proficient in the use of computer, e.g. MS Word, Excel, Internet, etc.
∎ Knowledge in very good communication skills both spoken and written in English.
∎ Should be able to work on own initiative under pressure.
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):Merchandising and Production.
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):Buying House, Garments
