Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum 8–12 years’ experience in MEP tendering or estimating, ideally within EPC, contracting, or multinational organizations.
• Proven track record preparing winning tenders for complex, large-scale projects (infrastructure, buildings, industrial plants).
• In-depth knowledge of MEP systems, codes, standards, and construction methodologies.

Skills and Competencies

• Advanced technical and commercial understanding of MEP works.
• Strong skills in cost estimation, quantity take-off, and bid compilation.
• Proficiency with tendering/estimation software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, MS Excel, estimation tools).
• Excellent written and verbal communication for client/vendor liaison.
• High attention to detail, organization, and ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Analytical problem solver with collaborative team spirit.
• Experience with international standards (e.g., IEC, ASHRAE, NFPA, SMACNA).
• Previous project experience in metro, airport, hospital, or high-rise building sectors.
• Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, CEM, LEED) are an advantage.

A Manager - Tender Specialist is a professional who oversees the entire tender process, from identifying opportunities to submitting winning bids, and managing the post-submission process. This role requires strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, as well as in-depth knowledge of tendering procedures and relevant regulations in the Government MEP and EPC Sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze tender documents (drawings, specs, BOQs, contracts) for MEP works in new project opportunities in Metro Rails and Underground Projects.
• Develop accurate cost estimates, prepare technical and commercial submissions for electrical and mechanical systems—HVAC, SCADA, power distribution, lighting, fire protection, low voltage, piping, etc.
• Conduct site visits and attend pre-bid meetings to assess project needs, risks, and clarifications.
• Liaise with procurement and engineering teams for pricing equipment, materials, and subcontractor quotes.
• Engage with vendors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotations/specifications for specialized MEP works.
• Prepare clear scope of work statements, clarifications, and technical queries for client/consultant review.
• Ensure tenders are submitted on time and fully compliant with client requirements and regulatory standards.
• Participate in value engineering proposals and recommend alternatives to improve bid competitiveness.
• Support negotiation and handover to project execution teams after award.
• Maintain tender documentation, cost database, and learnings archive for future bids.
