∎ JOB PURPOSE: To facilitate the effective and efficient installation of context specific WASH technologies in different geo-hydrological areas through identification of user`s friendly and sustainable technologies, design and development of technologies and increasing the technical knowledge and skill of programme staff at different level by organizing training/orientation, as well as proper functioning of the technologies through follow up and monitoring in the field.
∎ SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme`s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Identify of user's friendly and sustainable WASH technologies considering different geo-hydrological context of the project areas, design and development the appropriate technologies through piloting, consultation with WASH staffs, stakeholders including government and private sector and community people.
∎ Ensure technical support to WASH team specifically guide to Assistant Technical Officer for enhancing their capacity in quality installation of the selected WASH technologies, proper O&M, etc.
∎ Ensure quality of implementation works by preparing technical guidelines including preparing the design and drawing, BoQ, etc.
∎ To enhance the knowledge and skills of staff and WASH private sector to installation and proper O&M of technologies such as water treatment plant, deep tube well, rain water harvesting system, and different types of safely managed sanitation technologies.
∎ Regularly visit field for supervision and monitoring of the progress and quality of implementation of the project/ programme activities and share the filed findings with the concerned staff for further improvement.
∎ Generate innovative ideas on water supply and sanitation technological aspects for different hydro-geological context and develop concept note for piloting the ideas and technologies.
∎ Collaborate with other team members of the WASH programme at HO/ field staff/ operation team for effectively and efficiently implementation of project/programme activities.
∎ Provide technical input to develop project proposal & budgeting for future grants initiatives
∎ Liaison with different government and non-government organizations and agencies of identification/ developing and installation of appropriate WASH technologies.

∎ Proficiency in English.
∎ AutoCAD.
∎ Knowledge on WASH related technologies
∎ Minimum 3 years' of working experience in the relevant field.
