Educational Requirements:
∎ Master's Degree preferably in Disaster Management, Environmental Science and Management, Development Studies, Social Science, or any other relevant discipline from any recognised institute.

Job Context:
∎ JOB PURPOSE: This position is responsible for identifying funding opportunities for DRMP, developing and submitting project concept notes and proposals maintaining specific requirements and deadline. He/she will also support for implementation of DRMP`s disaster risk reduction, preparedness & emergency response related intervention.
∎ SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation to achieve the programme`s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance, and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Develop fundraising strategies for successful engagement with donors, government agencies and corporate sectors, and maintain database of potential donors and conduct research to gain insight into their needs, beliefs, and donation habits to understand how to position BRAC to the donors.
∎ Identify fund raising opportunities such as announced call for proposals (CFP/RFP), request for submission of EOIs, etc. from different bilateral and multilateral donors and other national and international funding organizations including Government.
∎ Develop project concept notes, EOI, technical and financial proposals, etc. as per requirement of the funding organizations and ensure submission maintaining specific requirements and deadline.
∎ Nurture relationship with donors and represent in advocacy networks/ donor consortium/forums to make liaison towards solicit funding.
∎ Develop and ensure timely submission of project progress and completion reports to donors/clients.
∎ Lead and participate in needs assessments and data collection to feed into new project design.
∎ Provide with technical support to emergency response team and other local management team for 1st line response and subsequently the recovery projects with attention to programme quality and ensure programme activities/ indicator are achieved within timeline.
∎ Support to prepare district, upazila and union level contingency plan and risk mapping regarding humanitarian aspect.
∎ Support in developing project implementation guidelines and plans, and implementation of emergency response and recovery projects, ensuring timely procurement and expenditure.
∎ Monitor project implementation progress and identify risks for timely action and early resolution, and provide guidance to the team members on program quality standards, management quality procedures.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Computer Literacy (MS-Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.).
∎ Excellent speaking and writing skill both in English and Bangla.
∎ Good communication skills.
∎ Knowledge on Disaster Management framework of Bangladesh.
∎ Global, Regional and National level humanitarian architecture.
∎ Sphere and all other Humanitarian Framework and tandards.
∎ Project proposals, concept notes, technical and financial proposals, EOI, RFP etc.
∎ Planning & Prioritizing (Resource Allocation, Critical Thinking).
∎ Team building, Leadership and Ability to work under pressure and deadline.
∎ Flexible to face new challenges.
∎ Analytical thinking, Decision making, Report writing.
∎ Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience
