Job Context:
∎ JOB PURPOSE: Manager, Partnership & Capacity; you will lead cross-cutting capacity building and partnership activities. She/he will also design training manuals, road maps for NGO capacity building/development and implement capacity building/development related activities.
∎ SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme`s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Partnerships Management:
∎ Support the Senior Management to identify potential partners and collaborators through Partners' Mapping and derive an initial detailed list of possible partners.
∎ Assist in developing a legally vetted prequalification for entities willing to participate at EOIs.
∎ Assist in circulating Request for Proposal (RFPs) to the members of the partner database.
∎ Provide support to hold pre-bid briefing sessions for interested National, Local Responders (NLRs) prior to the submission of EOI and RFP.
∎ Assist the Senior Manager- Partnerships & Capacity and the Head of Pooled Fund in conducting initial screening.
∎ Support Senior Manager- Partnerships & Capacity to present progress updates to the Governing Body & to preparing donor reports.
∎ Support Senior Manager- Partnerships & Capacity to conduct downstream and bilateral due diligence and organisational assessments of the winning NLRs.
∎ Assist in documenting and solicit the key lessons learnt on EOI/RFP evaluations for the next prebid and next round of EOI/RFP screening.
∎ Assist Senior Manager- Partnerships & Capacity in conducting Annual Partnership Meetings in Cox's Bazar with partner NGOs and other stakeholders.
∎ Capacity Building:
∎ Assist the Senior Manager- Partnerships & Capacity in delivering all capacity development-related activities for partner NGOs and their networks in diverse areas of organizational development (leadership and management, financial management, human resources management, partner relations, communications, monitoring and evaluation, grant management, technology utilization and others).
∎ Provide support to develop materials and processes for specific areas/topics identified as needed for capacity development of partners, including training, mentoring and coaching of partners, peer learning and other methodologies.
∎ Maintain roadmaps with winning NLRs to guide capacity building commitments.
∎ Strengthen NGO partners' project management competence and capacity through targeted tailored training sessions and make their management approaches, procedures more efficient and effective management procedures.
∎ Assist the Senior Manager to conduct annual assessments of NLRs to assess their organisational capacity improvements
∎ Assist in developing and standardise peer review tools and processes to make the NLRs more self-sufficient and effective.
∎ Coordination:
∎ Serve as a bridge between the Cox's Bazar field office and the Partnership & Capacity Development unit of Pooled Fund of head office to ensure a smooth exchange of information
∎ Provide coordination support to the 'Senior Manager-Partnerships & Capacity Building' in arranging meetings, draft meeting minutes, ensuring decisions are made and followed-up, and ensuring joint field visits to support and assess the delivery of the aspects of the responses in Cox's Bazar and Bhasan Char
∎ Drafting necessary documents including ToRs, Strategic Documents, Formation Methodology and rolling out the steering committee, advisory committee and the proposal selection committee.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Strong attention to detail, problem solving skills.
∎ Fluency in computer literateracy (i.e. Google Suite/ MS Office, Outlook, Internet surfing)
∎ Strong grounding in quantitative and qualitative research methods.
∎ Demonstrated ability to produce analytical donor reports.
∎ Possess high understanding of programme operations including procurement and field realities
∎ Adaptive, Adoptive, Innovative, Frugal, Improvise and has the competency to communicate clearly and efficiently under pressure.
∎ Fluent in English and Bangla written and verbal, including public speaking.
∎ Minimum 3 years experience in partnership & capacity building is required.
