∎ Several years of experience in merchandising, preferably in the woven garments sector.
∎ Strong knowledge of garment production processes and quality control.
∎ Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
∎ Leadership and team management abilities.
∎ Proficiency in relevant software and tools for project management and merchandising.
∎ Willingness to travel to meet with suppliers and attend trade shows.
∎ Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
∎ A passion for fashion and a keen eye for design trends.
∎ Several years of experience in merchandising, preferably in the woven garments sector.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Collaborate with design and production teams to develop garment concepts and prototypes.
∎ Ensure that the design concepts are feasible for woven fabric and can be produced within budget and timeline constraints.
∎ Sourcing and Supplier Management: Identify and establish relationships with suppliers and manufacturers for woven fabrics and garment production.
∎ Negotiate pricing, quality standards, and delivery schedules with suppliers. Monitor supplier performance and address any issues that may arise.
∎ Create production plans and timelines to ensure on-time delivery of garments. Coordinate with the production team to ensure smooth operations and efficient resource utilization.
∎ Develop and implement quality control measures to ensure that woven garments meet established standards.
∎ Address quality issues promptly and work with suppliers to resolve them. Monitor and control production costs to ensure products are produced within budget.
∎ Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality.
∎ Market Research and Trend Analysis: Stay updated on fashion trends, consumer preferences, and market competition.
∎ Use market research to make informed decisions about product offerings.
∎ Lead and motivate a team of merchandisers, designers, and production staff. Provide guidance and support to team members to achieve company objectives.
∎ Maintain clear and effective communication with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
∎ Provide regular updates on project progress and address any issues or concerns.
