Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Animal Science or Animal Husbandry.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in large-scale livestock or poultry procurement and supply chain.
• Expertise in livestock markets, animal sourcing, pricing, and disease control
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
• Proficient in budgeting and cost control
• Understanding of supply chain and sourcing systems
• Unquestionable financial integrity
• Team leadership and mentoring abilities

Position Purpose: To plan, organize, and direct all activities related to sourcing, contract farming, logistics coordination, cash flow management and supply chain governance for livestock and poultry. This role is critical in ensuring an uninterrupted and cost-effective supply of high-quality raw materials aligned with sales and production needs, while maintaining compliance with company’s stringent quality parameter, and finance governance framework.

Procurement Strategy & Governance

• Develop and execute livestock and poultry procurement strategies aligned with business goals.

• Assist Livestock supply and price forecasting algorithm and model development

• Monitor procurement budget and drive cost optimization initiatives.

• Implement procurement risk management practices to ensure compliance with regulatory, quality, and safety standards.

• Define and monitor KPIs related to procurement performance and cost efficiency.

Planning & Daily Operations

• Prepare and execute short, medium, and long-term procurement plans based on production forecasts and market dynamics.

• Coordinate daily sourcing from direct and indirect sourcing networks, including farmers and traders.

• Collect and analyze pricing, supplier reliability, and disease outbreak information to finalize sourcing decisions.

• Ensure timely placement of orders, quality inspection at delivery, and coordination with Finance for payments.

Contract Farming & New Sourcing Channel Development

• Implement contract farming strategies to strengthen backward integration.

• Develop new sourcing networks and expand sourcing channels.

• Conduct farmer/trader education programs on quality standards, disease control, and vaccination.

• Monitor and update supplier database with performance metrics and feedback.

Logistics Coordination

• Ensure alignment between sourcing, inventory management, and production needs.

• Coordinate with transport/logistics team for on-time and efficient animal delivery.

• Oversee tracking of in-transit livestock to minimize mortality and weight loss.

Team Leadership & People Development

• Supervise and coach the plant-level procurement team.
