∎ JOB PURPOSE: Establish and maintain a sound knowledge management system in UDP ensuring that the programmatic learning and good practices are timely researched, documented and disseminated; Guide and coordinate action research for quick assessment of UDP components; Identify funding opportunities and oversee development of project proposals, budgets, concept notes, etc.
∎ SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme`s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Establish and maintain an effective knowledge management system at the urban development programme.
∎ Ensure that all programmatic learning and good practices are identified and documented through action research.
∎ Ensure documentation of programme implementation and management processes and outcomes.
∎ Take initiatives for disseminating learning and good practices within the programme, with other BRAC programmes as well as with external stakeholders through publication and dissemination of study//research reports, papers, journal articles, case studies, etc.
∎ Identify research issues/questions for action research and ensure that action research is carried out at regular intervals.
∎ Guide and supervise UDP's research associates and external researchers for developing research/study proposal and research methodology, and collecting and analyzing data.
∎ Identify new areas for UDP interventions and programmatic expansions, and develop new project/intervention designs, and implementation strategies and plans accordingly.
∎ Prepare project proposals including technical and financial proposals and project concept notes.
∎ Identify fundraising opportunities such as request for EOIs, RFP/CFP, etc. and ensure timely submission of appropriate proposals, concept notes, etc.
∎ Work closely with relevant team members of UDP to ensure consistency and coherence in learning across the programme and organization.
∎ Maintain networking and liaison with relevant experts, academia, donors and other civil society stakeholders.
