Responsibilities & Context:
∎ To provide technical support to the Design/Production team regarding fabric.
∎ To carry out color testing of fabrics & approving lab dips, sourcing fabrics and trims and developing new fabrics base on fashion trends.
∎ Implement processes to ensure fabric quality & color consistency of bulk fabrics.
∎ Responsible for fabric inspection, blanket preparation, shade segregation, shade band/hanger/CC Card development, shrinkage, skewness & bowing test & to make a fabric report with all this information.
∎ Carry out risk assessment during development & pre-production meetings.
∎ Collect the shade & quality standard or red seal from the merchant or buyer.
∎ Collect the bulk fabric quality & shade approval from the merchant or buyer.
∎ Give the shade & fabric approval against the approval standard.
∎ Keep all the standards, approvals & comment copies securely.
∎ New Fabric Development & price negotiations.
∎ Give the marker comment base on the fabric shade & quality.
∎ Give the defective cut panel approval.
∎ Communicate & take up with supplier for any type of fabric issue.
∎ Work with cutting, sewing & finishing team to solve any type of issue arises regarding fabrics.
∎ Supplier performance report.
∎ Any other related task assigned by the management
