Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Li & Fung (Bangladesh) Ltd is a member of Fung Group - a Hong Kong-based multi- national company recognized as the world leader in fashion supply chain management is currently looking for a highly experienced individual based in Bangladesh who will lead Industrial Engineering.
∎ Collaborate with Sourcing, Planning and Product Development team, contribute to allocation strategies to ensure margin maximization in investigating potential of new sources for assigned Business Unit.
∎ Provide technical advice/support to factories and colleagues for ensuring factory lay-out modification to reduce excess machine & operation.
∎ Drive the overall optimization of product value (engineered cost), costing process and supplier cost negotiations.
∎ Provide technical costing expertise to engineer product to cost and enable design to maintain its intend.
∎ Apply industrial costing concepts (Standard Minute Value/General Sewing Data/LEAN) to identify inefficient issues, Compare data on various methods and Identify, simulate & validate cost saving opportunities.
∎ Strategically manage globally assigned cost drivers and develop a costing framework to enable saving opportunities and ensure cost optimization by creating a fact based and predictable costing environment.
∎ Provide technical advice/support to factories to Set up line lay-out (paper lay-out) procedure to reduce change over time.
∎ Assess factories’ facilities and resources to ensure manpower allocation to reduce excess manpower & production cost.
∎ Provide advice to factories to Improve productivity through efficient use of available resources.
∎ Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
∎ Degree in Industrial Engineering or related discipline preferred.
∎ Minimum 8 years' relevant experience with at least 2 years in managerial level.
∎ Strong knowledge of production garment construction and manufacturing techniques.
∎ Strong knowledge of cost driver management within a supplier and the entire supply chain.
∎ Able to work under pressure, result oriented, excellent communication skills, self-motivated, responsive and detail minded.
∎ Ability to build strong relationships with the team as a good team leader, communicate effectively with internal and external parties.
∎ Strong problem-solving skills. Able to manage multiple tasks environment.
∎ Excellent command of written and spoken English.
