Responsibilities & Context:

Collections Strategy & Performance

  • Develop and execute collection strategies for early, mid, and late-stage delinquencies

  • Monitor portfolio performance and reduce delinquency and default rates

  • Set monthly/quarterly recovery targets and ensure achievement

  • Analyze collection data and trends to improve recovery outcomes

Team Leadership & Management

  • Lead, coach, and motivate the collections team (in-house and/or outsourced)

  • Set KPIs for team members and conduct regular performance reviews

  • Identify training needs and ensure continuous skill development

  • Manage staffing, shift planning, and workload distribution

Process Improvement & Automation

  • Implement and improve digital collection tools (CRM, dialers, automated reminders, analytics dashboards)

  • Optimize collection workflows to increase efficiency and customer engagement

  • Collaborate with product and tech teams to enhance collection systems

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure adherence to local regulations, fintech policies, and ethical collection practices

  • Maintain proper documentation and audit readiness

  • Handle escalated customer complaints and dispute resolutions professionally

Customer Experience

  • Balance recovery goals with customer empathy and long-term relationship management

  • Design customer-friendly repayment and settlement solutions

  • Ensure communication aligns with brand tone and regulatory guidelines

Reporting & Stakeholder Management

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports for senior management

  • Present insights on recovery rates, roll rates, and collection efficiency

  • Coordinate with credit risk, customer support, legal, and finance teams
