Experience:
Master’s in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or any related field from reputed university with no third division in academic records.
2/3 years of relevant experience in retail credit, credit appraisal, or risk analysis in a bank or financial institution preferred
Knowledge, Competencies and Skills:
Strong understanding of credit risk principles, loan structuring, and regulatory guidelines.
Proficiency in financial analysis and credit memo preparation.
Knowledge of Bangladesh Bank CIB reporting system and classifications.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive customer data.
Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel and Word).
Job Grade: Junior Officer to Officer.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Retail Loan Appraisal: Review and process retail loan proposals, including Home Loans, Government Employee Loans, Agri Loans, Personal Loans, and Credit Cards in line with product program guidelines and credit policy.
Credit Risk Analysis: Assess financial, business, management, security, relationship, and market risks for each loan application; ensure appropriate mitigation strategies are in place.
Credit Memo & Reporting: Prepare detailed credit appraisal notes and credit memos for recommendation to Credit Approval Authority.
Documentation & Due Diligence: Ensure all supporting documents are verified and meet internal credit and regulatory requirements before submission for approval.
CIB Report Handling: Retrieve and interpret CIB reports from Bangladesh Bank, highlighting any adverse classifications (SS, Doubtful, Bad/Loss) and verifying customer status accordingly.
Interdepartmental Coordination: Communicate and coordinate with branches and relevant departments for additional information, clarifications, or document collection as needed.
Credit Decision Support: Issue decline letters with rationale where proposals fail to meet credit standards, in consultation with the Credit Committee or approving authority.
Record-Keeping & MIS: Maintain structured filing of all loan proposals, office notes, and decision memos. Keep accurate MIS for all proposals processed.
Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated with Bangladesh Bank circulars and implement necessary changes in internal processing guidelines as required.
Audit Readiness: Provide full support during internal or regulatory audits, ensuring all records are in compliance and accessible.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate with Credit Support Executives (CSEs), Credit Admin, and Sales teams to streamline and expedite loan processing and approval and Perform any additional duties assigned by Retail CRM Management.
