Responsibilities & Context:
Monitor recovery/regularization/rescheduling of Classified Loans/NPL portfolio in line with banking/ Non-Bank Financial Institution laws and practices, policies & procedures.
Assess troubled loans, develop workout strategies, negotiate resolutions, and mitigate financial risk.
Supervise overall asset management process and ensure positive outcome.
Direct and coordinate with internal & external legal counsels in dealing with classified accounts to ensure implementation of best legal strategies.
Develop staff with appropriate qualifications & skills for management of classified loan portfolio.
Provide support, advice & guidance to legal and recovery team to manage classified loans.
Maintain liaison with clients and regulatory bodies as required to ensure efficient management and recovery of classified loan portfolio.
Formulate Budget for annual expenses of special asset management to ensure recovery at minimum costs & maximum recovery.
Monitor proper utilization of budget for special asset management and ensure periodic review.
Implement and ensure compliance with the internal policy, guidelines and circular of Bangladesh Bank.
Coordinate with other divisions/branches when required.
