Education:
B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from a reputed university
M.Sc. in Civil / Structural Engineering or Construction Management (preferred)
Professional certification in Project Management / Quantity Surveying will be an added advantage

Experience Requirements:
5–10 years of relevant experience in:
Project appraisal in banks/financial institutions or
Civil construction / infrastructure project management
Experience in credit appraisal of large-scale industrial or real estate projects will be highly preferred
Responsibilities & Context:
Conduct technical appraisal of civil engineering and infrastructure projects
Review of detailed Project Report (DPR), Bill of Quantities (BOQ), drawings, specifications, and feasibility reports
Assess construction cost, structural design, and implementation plan
Evaluate land, building, and project asset valuation
Verify machinery cost, installation feasibility, and supplier quotations
Perform site visits and monitor ongoing project progress
Identify technical, structural, and execution risks in financed projects
Prepare independent engineering appraisal reports for credit approval
Ensure compliance with Bangladesh Bank guidelines and internal policies
Liaise with consultants, valuers, architects, and contractors
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and structural systems
Expertise in project cost estimation and Bill of Quantities (BOQ) analysis
Understanding of credit risk and project finance appraisal
Ability to evaluate Capital Expenditure /Operating Expenditure and financial feasibility
Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills
Proficiency in MS Office; AutoCAD reading ability preferred
