Education:
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in statistics, mathematics, economics, computer science, data science, finance or a related quantitative discipline from a UGC-approved university or an accredited foreign university.
2 to 7 years of experience in a bank, financial institution or other data-intensive environment, with hands-on ownership of analytical work.
Exposure to lending portfolios, scorecard development or data warehouse work is strongly preferred.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and hands-on experience with Power BI, Tableau or equivalent tools.
Proficiency in Python or R for statistical modelling and automation is strongly preferred.
A working understanding of credit risk metrics, scorecard construction and validation.
Ability to explain quantitative findings clearly to non-technical audiences and explore beyond the first set of findings.
Proficiency in spoken and written Bangla and English.

The bank is seeking a qualified and purpose-driven professional for the following position within its SME Banking Division

Key Responsibilities:
Product Design, Scoring & Portfolio Insight
Score and rank every product; drive invest, fix or retire related decisions.
Run vintage, cohort, roll-rate, tenor and utilization analyses for each product.
Analyse product and portfolio performance by geography, cluster, channel and sector to identify insights that aggregated data may conceal.
Test post-launch performance against the business case. Explain variances and recommend actions.
Act as the business owner of the division’s data, with accountability for definitions, quality, lineage and reconciliation across source systems and the data warehouse.
Customer Behavior & Forward-Looking Analytics
Build and refresh customer personas. Keep them dynamic rather than static.
Model propensity, cross-sell, attrition and reactivation. Map graduation pathways across segments.
Forecast demand. Simulate outcomes. Run scenarios for planning and target setting.
Proactively identify emerging risks and opportunities.
Credit Scoring
Build, deploy and recalibrate application and behavioural scorecards, working closely with the bank’s Credit Risk teams.
Monitor discrimination and stability. Recommend cut-off and rule changes backed by evidence.
Develop cash-flow and alternative-data scoring for customers with limited documentary history.
Build early warning models that flag stress ahead of delinquency.
Field Validation, Reporting & Advocacy
Visit the market frequently. Validate data against ground realities across different geographies.
Challenge conventional reporting. Automate manual processes and own definitions and reconciliation.
Build self-service dashboards and reporting packs for leadership review.
Provide analyses and evidence for regulatory returns and policy advocacy submissions.
Administrative Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with KYC, AML, data privacy and other regulatory requirements across all analytical work.
Maintain rigour and discretion in handling confidential customer and portfolio information.
