Education:
Minimum Post-Graduation from a recognized university with no 3rd division/class or equivalent result in any academic level MBA/MBM or Master's in Finance, Banking, Economics, Marketing, Management or a related field is preferred.
Professional Certification
Banking Diploma and relevant professional certification in SME banking, credit, risk or relationship management will be an added advantage.

Skill Requirement
Small Business/CMSME strategy, relationship banking and portfolio development.
Credit-marketing, underwriting coordination, monitoring and asset-quality management.
Sales-force leadership, market development and branch engagement.
Experience Requirement
For EVP: minimum 18 years' relevant experience with at least 15 years as SVP or equivalent. For SVP: minimum 16 years' relevant experience with at least 15 years as VP or equivalent.
Significant leadership experience in SME/CMSME, small-business lending, relationship banking, credit marketing or portfolio management is required. Candidates currently serving as Head of Small Business, or in an equivalent role, with 2-3 years of experience in that capacity will be given preference. Strong market exposure and proven experience in leading teams, marketing and operations will also be preferred
Additional Requirement
A strong record of building quality small-business portfolios while controlling delinquency and improving market penetration will be preferred.
Key Requirements
Strong academic record with no 3rd division/class or equivalent at any academic level.
Relevant senior banking experience as per position requirements
Age and experience may be relaxed for exceptionally qualified candidates
Professional credentials such as CFA, FRM, CAMS, FCA/ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA, CA, ACI and similar certifications will be considered as strong added advantage

We are seeking an experienced Head of Small Business to build a scalable portfolio, deepen entrepreneur relationships and grow quality assets, deposits and fee income through disciplined market and credit execution.
The position carries a direct mandate for quality CMSME growth, stronger entrepreneur relationships and disciplined portfolio management.

Job Context
The Head of Small Business will lead the Bank's Small Business/CMSME strategy, product proposition, distribution model and portfolio performance, ensuring growth is supported by prudent underwriting, early-warning discipline and effective recovery coordination.
Responsibilities
Business Strategy: Develop the Small Business/CMSME strategy, annual plan, target segments, product proposition and geographic priorities.
Portfolio Growth: Grow quality loans, deposits and fee income through relationship management, new customer acquisition and cross-selling
Credit Discipline: Coordinate with Credit and Risk to improve underwriting and renewal turnaround while maintaining asset quality, diversification and early-warning standards
Distribution & People: Build branch and field capability through sales governance, structured pipeline management , training and performance accountability.
Compliance & Recovery: Ensure adherence to applicable CMSME requirements, documentation and AML/CFT standards and maintain strong monitoring and recovery focus
