• Must possess a minimum postgraduate degree from a recognized university.
• Higher academic or professional qualifications in Economics, Accounting, Finance, Banking, Management or Business Administration will be given preference.

Eligibility Criteria

The applicant must fulfill the following requirements:

• Must have a minimum of 20 (twenty) years of active experience in the banking profession, including at least 2 (two) years of experience in the immediate lower position to that of Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer.
• Must be between 45 (forty-five) and 65 (sixty-five) years of age as on the closing date of application.
• Must have a proven record of professional competence, integrity, leadership, strategic vision and successful performance in senior banking positions.
• Must have sound knowledge and practical experience in banking operations, credit risk management, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, financial management, digital banking, information technology, cyber security and business development.
• Must not have been convicted of any criminal offence or involved in fraud, financial crime, corruption, money laundering or any activity involving moral turpitude.
• Must not be a defaulter of any bank or financial institution, declared bankrupt, or involved in any business or professional activity that may create a conflict of interest with the Bank.
• Must fulfil the “fit and proper” criteria and other eligibility requirements prescribed by Bangladesh Bank, the Bank Company Act, 1991 and other applicable laws, rules and regulations.

A leading private commercial bank in Bangladesh, invites applications from competent, dynamic and experienced Bangladeshi nationals for the position of The Managing Director who will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and overall management of the Bank in accordance with the Bank Company Act, 1991, Bangladesh Bank regulations, policies of the Board of Directors and other applicable laws and regulations.

Terms of Appointment

The appointment shall be on a contractual basis for a period to be determined by the Board of Directors, subject to approval of Bangladesh Bank. The compensation package and other benefits shall be competitive and commensurate with the qualifications, experience and responsibilities of the position, in accordance with applicable regulatory guidelines.
