Roles for this job includes configuring, managing, and troubleshooting local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), internet systems, and network segments. The right candidate ensures reliable network performance, security, and scalability to support business operations effectively.

Install and Configure Network Equipment

• Set up routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points. Ensure proper integration of hardware and software components.

Monitor Network Performance

• Continuously check network speed, reliability, and uptime. Use monitoring tools to detect and resolve performance issues proactively.

Maintain Network Security

• Implement firewalls, VPNs, and access controls. Regularly apply patches and updates to network devices. Monitor for unauthorized access and vulnerabilities.

Troubleshoot Network Issues

• Diagnose and resolve connectivity problems. Provide support for end-users and IT staff regarding network-related issues.

Manage IP Addressing and DNS/DHCP

• Plan and manage IP address assignments

Perform Network Upgrades and Maintenance

• Upgrade firmware and network infrastructure components. Replace outdated or failing hardware as needed.

Document Network Infrastructure

• Maintain accurate network diagrams, configuration documentation and change logs.

Support Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery

• Ensure network redundancy and backups are in place. Assist in implementing failover and recovery strategies.

Collaborate with IT Teams and Vendors

• Coordinate with system administrators, developers, and external vendors for integration and troubleshooting.

Stay Updated with Industry Trends

• Continuously improve skills and knowledge related to networking technologies and best practices.
