Department - Integrated & Centralized MITS Operations Division

Job Context:  

Mutual Trust Bank PLC is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented professional for the Integrated & Centralized MITS Operations Division. The incumbent will be responsible for Import LC Issuance and Import Payment operations, ensuring compliance with Bangladesh Bank regulations, international trade practices, and the Bank's internal policies while delivering efficient and accurate trade finance services.

Job Grade: Junior Officer (JO) - Junior Assistant Vice President (JAVP)

Key Accountabilities

Import LC Issuance

• Process issuance and amendment of Import LCs in compliance with Bangladesh Bank regulations and international trade rules.

• Review LC applications and supporting documents for accuracy and regulatory compliance.

• Ensure adherence to AML/CFT, sanctions screening, and internal control requirements.

• Coordinate with branches, business units, customers, and correspondent banks for smooth LC processing.

• Ensure timely and accurate processing of import trade transactions.

Import Payment

• Process import bill settlements, including Usance LCs and Buyer's Credit transactions.

• Prepare payment schedules and calculate financing-related charges.

• Verify import documents and payment instructions before execution.

• Coordinate with customers, business units, and overseas banks for timely settlements.

• Ensure compliance with Bangladesh Bank regulations, international trade rules, and the Bank's internal policies.
