PENINSULA MARINE SERVICES is looking for a highly experienced, technically competent and hands-on Maintenance Manager – Marine & Naval Projects to lead marine engine, propulsion, waterjet and mechanical maintenance activities for Bangladesh Navy, Bangladesh Coast Guard, Government and commercial vessel projects.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing technical teams, supervising vessel maintenance and repair activities, troubleshooting marine diesel engines, coordinating overhauling and commissioning works, and ensuring successful project execution within the required timeframe.
This position is ideal for an experienced Marine Engineer / Marine Maintenance Manager / Technical Superintendent / Service Engineer with strong practical field experience in marine diesel engines and vessel repair.
Frequent travel and project-site deployment anywhere in Bangladesh will be required.
Plan, coordinate and supervise marine engine maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and overhaul activities.
Provide hands-on technical supervision for Cummins, Volvo Penta and similar marine diesel engines.
Diagnose and troubleshoot engine faults involving:
Fuel injection and fuel systems
Cooling systems
Lubrication systems
Turbochargers
Starting and charging systems
Electrical and electronic control systems
Mechanical components
Supervise marine waterjet propulsion system maintenance, troubleshooting and repair.
Coordinate major overhaul, top overhaul, preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance.
Conduct vessel and equipment inspections and prepare:
Technical inspection reports
Defect lists
Repair recommendations
Work scopes
Maintenance plans
Prepare manpower, tools, equipment, spare-parts and consumable requirements.
Supervise technicians, mechanics, electricians and subcontractors during project execution.
Ensure proper engine installation, alignment, testing and commissioning.
Provide technical support during sea trials and performance testing.
Coordinate with vessel engineers, clients, Navy/Coast Guard representatives, government officials, suppliers and project management teams.
Monitor project progress and ensure maintenance activities are completed within the agreed schedule.
Prepare daily, weekly and final technical/project reports.
Monitor spare parts, tools, consumables and workshop resources.
Ensure compliance with applicable HSE, quality and marine engineering standards.
Support preparation of technical quotations, proposals, BOQs, spare-parts lists and project cost estimates.
Manage multiple marine maintenance projects simultaneously.
Attend emergency breakdowns and provide timely technical solutions.
Travel to and stay at project sites anywhere in Bangladesh as required.

Diploma / B.Sc. in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Power Engineering or a relevant technical discipline.
OR
Recognized professional qualification in Marine Engineering with substantial practical experience in marine engine maintenance and vessel repair.
Minimum 5–8 years of relevant professional experience in:
Marine engine maintenance
Ship repair
Shipyard operations
Vessel operation
Marine technical services
Marine engineering projects
Strong practical experience in diesel engine troubleshooting, repair and overhauling is highly preferred.
Previous experience working with Bangladesh Navy, Bangladesh Coast Guard, Government vessels, patrol boats, fast boats or commercial vessels will receive strong preference.
Candidates with proven experience in marine propulsion and waterjet systems will be given additional consideration.

Valid driving licence will be considered an advantage.
