• Experience in ISO 27001, SOC 2, or HIPAA-compliant environments.

• Familiarity with log aggregation and monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).

• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Linux system administration.

• Strong understanding of networking, DNS, SSL, firewalls, and load balancers.

• Experience with cybersecurity best practices and tools (e.g., fail2ban, ClamAV, iptables, OSSEC/Wazuh).

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, DigitalOcean, or Linode.

• Experience with CI/CD tools and version control systems (Git).

• Knowledge of scripting (Bash, Python, etc.) for automation and maintenance.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and communicate effectively with remote teams.

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Linux DevOps Engineer with a strong foundation in system administration and cybersecurity. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and securing our Linux-based infrastructure that supports Orbund’s SaaS platforms.

This role will involve collaboration with U.S.-based teams to ensure systems are up-to-date, secure, and highly available.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and monitor Linux-based servers (AWS Linux)Ubuntu/CentOS/Red Hat) across development, staging, and production environments.
• Apply security patches, OS updates, and firmware upgrades on a regular basis.
• Configure and manage web servers (e.g., Apache, Nginx), application servers, and database servers (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Monitor system logs, detect unusual activity, and respond to security alerts.
• Manage firewalls, SSH access, and IP whitelisting policies.
• Conduct routine vulnerability scans and participate in remediation planning.
• Automate tasks using scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python).
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar.
• Support containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) as needed.
• Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot application and infrastructure issues.
• Document infrastructure changes, system configurations, and standard operating procedures.
