Job Responsibilities:
∎ Supervise and monitor the overall legal unit's works.
∎ Court and other legal operations -
∎ Represent the company before the various courts including Apex Court and tribunal of the country.
∎ Review the plaints, written statements, Written Objection, legal notices, various Applications, writ petitions and various other related papers/documents relating to litigation.
∎ Maintain liaisons and effective communications with law firms, recovery agents and provide instruction to take legal steps which is most cost-effective for the company in order to expedite the speedy disposal of the Suits/Cases as well as optimum recovery of loan.
∎ Maintain liaisons with concern law and enforcement authority, Anti-Corruption Commission and other Government Agency in order to execute the warrant and other compulsive steps against defaulter borrower.
∎ Review progress of all suits/cases pending for long period and investigates the reason of delay as well as takes care of disposing of the said suits/cases speedily.
∎ Perform general legal services for the company, including direction on corporate and commercial issues, contract negotiation and documentation, litigation matter and others related issues.
∎ Raise Awareness and address Legal, compliance and regulatory risks and issues by providing specific training to branch sales personnel on Legal and Compliance issues.
∎ Property vetting -
∎ Provide legal opinion on land & land related properties, flat which are proposed for/against our credit financing. Preparing and checking of propriety and genuineness of the legal documents, i.e. Charge documents, property documents etc.
∎ Preparation of various legal instruments i.e. Mortgage Deed, Irrevocable General Power of Attorney, Deed of Redemption, Deed of Revocation, Tripartite Agreement, Memorandum of Deposit of Title Deed, Draft of Mutation and Mortgage Permission, various Customized Letter of Undertaking etc.
∎ Providing considered view to management regarding some legal issues whether to be waived or not arising out of legal vetting done by fellow member of legal team.
∎ Providing new process engineering for reducing the average processing time for making the file ready for disbursement.
