Experience:
LLB & LLM from recognized universities are mandatory.
Candidates with international legal qualifications (e.g., foreign degrees, diplomas, or certifications) will be given preference.
Bar-at-Law (UK), Juris Doctor (USA), or equivalent international qualifications will be an added advantage.
Candidates with O Level/A Level or Diploma from IB Curriculum as secondary/higher secondary educational background will receive preference.
3–5 years of experience in corporate/legal practice with strong contract drafting, negotiation, and risk assessment skills.
Sound knowledge of international contract law and cross-border agreements.
Familiarity with aircraft leasing (dry/wet lease), aviation insurance, and financial contracts will be an advantage.
Understanding of international aviation regulations and global frameworks (ICAO/IATA).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
High integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Proficiency in English; additional languages (French/Spanish/Arabic) are a plus.
Purpose of the Job: : To provide assurance that the company complies with international aviation law and reduces the risk to the company, in relation to all aspects of its international contracts including aircraft dry and wet lease agreements, fuel hedging agreements, insurance agreements and other cross border commercial arrangements. The Position ensures that the company protects itself from legal, financial and operational risk through the implementation of global aviation legal best practices.
Job Responsibilities:
Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize international contracts including lease agreements (Dry/Wet/ACMI), insurance, and procurement contracts.
Provide legal advisory on financial instruments such as fuel hedging and derivatives.
Ensure compliance with international aviation laws, ICAO/IATA standards, and applicable regulatory frameworks.
Identify legal risks and develop effective risk mitigation strategies for all contractual engagements.
Liaise with lessors, financiers, insurers, OEMs, MROs, and global stakeholders to manage obligations and resolve disputes.
Handle legal disputes, claims, and coordinate arbitration or litigation processes when required.
Develop and implement legal policies, SOPs, and contract governance frameworks aligned with industry best practices.
Monitor contract performance, ensure compliance, and report legal updates to top management.
