∎ JOB PURPOSE: Lead the Product Development Unit of Microfinance. Assist higher management in developing realistic strategic plan for qualitative growth of the programme by addressing diversified financial needs of the discriminated people living in different tiers of the society through designing and developing new financial products or reengineering the existing one following Human-centered design (HCD) approach. This includes ensuring accessible and affordable financial products and delivery channels for the client that pursuit financial inclusion. It also includes managing the products throughout the product lifecycle and the overall efforts support the organisation`s vision.
∎ SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme`s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Lead, supervise and manage Product Development Unit
∎ Assess, plan, design, organise and execute the new products/projects for Microfinance
∎ Maintain regular contact and liaison with Microfinance operation team and external partner to ensure project coordination and achievement via meetings, field visits etc
∎ Conduct capacity-building sessions (i.e. meetings, presentations, field visits together) with other PDU members on designing new products/programmes, organising field meetings, motivating team, managing the field etc.
∎ Coordinate with head office team and field management to ensure that field staff understand pilot and communicate effectively with clients
∎ Track the business and social performance of each product and evaluating it after a regular interval
Additional Requirements:
∎ Knowledge on Microfinance Operations
∎ Knowldege on Product Development, Product Design and Product Management
∎ Knowledge on Financial Planning and Strategy, Competitive Analysis
∎ Good communications and interpersonal skills
∎ Excellent analytical ability skill
∎ Minimum 7 years of working experience is required
