∎ 3 to 5 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Economic and costing trend analysis for Merchandisers and UK buyers
∎ Key style cost benchmarking against other brands to keep pricing competitive
∎ Implementing new costing models such as GSD/SMV and enhancing existing costing models.
∎ Monitor margin status and develop margin improvement strategy
∎ Provide seasonal C/O FOB price comparison, FOB forecast
∎ Provide all related costing information to support functional teams
∎ Support with Seasonal update pre-costing and FOB price
∎ Define product complexity with Sourcing team and set up seasonal labour / overhead level to eliminate unreasonable labour overhead cost.
∎ Training Sourcing Merchandising teams and other teams in SMV and lay planning details
∎ Support Sourcing and work with product development team from initial costing to final price.
∎ Setting cost standards /tools / system - consumption, process cost
∎ Create and maintain cost reference data to achieve better prices.
∎ Build BOM calculators and train Sourcing and Product Development teams to "design into cost"
∎ Enterprise thinking to drive the costing excellence cross functionally
∎ Maintaining and sharing updates on Cost Saving Tracker back to the business leadership teams
∎ To negotiate with the vendors on cost reductions
∎ To support the corporation initiatives on cost reduction and discount programs
∎ Capability to communicate effectively to key stakeholders eg Sourcing, vendors and UK office
∎ To identify cost reduction areas and devise proposals for margin achievement
∎ Familiar with apparel, patterns and yield as well as costing processes.
∎ Review efficiency, production and productivity within the supply base
∎ Give details on operational breakdowns and non-productive loss time

∎ Robust end to end knowledge of garment manufacturing and SMV / FOB costings best practice

∎ A robust awareness of factory standards across the region and industry developments in manufacturing
∎ Ability to develop strong external relationships with suppliers across your region
∎ Manufacturing excellence, 5 S and Six Sigma knowledge
∎ English language a must
∎ Inspire and influence at all levels using a variety of styles
∎ Support talent and develop colleagues to ensure strong succession plans are in place
∎ Address complex and challenging situations by taking considered risks
