Educational Requirements:
∎ BSc or Diploma in Micro-Biology/Chemistry/Medical technology/Pathology/Pharmacy or equivalent from any UGC approved recognized university

Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 1 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Operation and maintenance of FSM Laboratory instruments and equipment- Autoclave, Incubator, Vortex, Multipara-meter, Spectrophotometer, COD Digestion Block, BOD Incubator, Oven, Membrane Filtration Unit, Desiccator, Centrifugal machine, Balance machine, Micropipette, Magnetic Stirrer etc
∎ Collect samples from different FSTPs and transport to FSM Lab with maintaining SOP
∎ Perform on spot parameter test
∎ Keep record during sample collection
∎ Sample Preparation and preparation of all necessary items prior to sample test
∎ Receivable of laboratory materials from vendor and keep the record
∎ Lab waste management and disposal
∎ Assist in performing laboratory tests pH, Temperature, EC, TDS, TSS, TS, Total Settleable Solids, NO3-N, PO4-P, NH3-N, TN, COD, BOD, E.coli, Helminths Ova etc.
∎ Clean the laboratory bottles and glass items
∎ Saline preparation for Ecoli test
∎ Ensure the overall Water Quality Laboratory remained functional
∎ Monthly inventory of the water quality laboratory supplies and prepare report to the team lead
∎ Maintaining Occupational health & safety measures at every level
∎ Frequent field visit at assigned working area
∎ Regularly update the supervisor on work progress
∎ Any other task assigned by supervisor
∎ Ensure the safety of lab team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so
