∎ Merchant Exports Ltd is one of the leading foreign buying houses. Representing some of the largest European buyer. To run our business smoothly, we need to fill up with a position of Junior Merchandiser immediately for our Dhaka Office.
∎ Job Responsibilities- Junior Merchandiser · Execute woven product development, understand latest fashion trends, source new fabric & develop customer collect.·
∎ Ensure smooth communications with customers and suppliers on day-to-day merchandising activities and approvals.·
∎ Continuously update the fabrics, trims, washes and stitch library including technical data and price information.·
∎ Understand customer requirements and closely work with design team to manage the quality samples within time frame.·
∎ Ensure production and samples follow up with factories and buyers· Communicate with buyers on day-to-day merchandising activities and approvals.·
∎ Source fabrics and accessories local and overseas.·
∎ Prepare costing sheets with all the necessary breakdowns.·
∎ Arrange lab dip, trims, bulk fabric color, and quality tes for customer approval·
∎ Work closely with the fabric mills and suppliers ahead of design packs to develop new fabrics and finishes to reduce lead time
∎ Educational requirement-· Graduate in Textile Manufacturing / Apparel Merchandising from a well reputed instituteExperience Requirements·
∎ Hands on work experience on woven/knit/sweater in a reputed buying house or garment factory 3-4 Years. Preferred who handled Inditex-Zara orders.
∎ Additional Requirements· Age 25 to 35 years.
∎ IT proficiency - advance level skill is a MUST in MS Office package (Especially Power Point, Excel, Word, and Outlook)Should be proactive and dynamic, ability to work with hard efficiently·
∎ Must be knowledgeable of garments construction and costing, specifically Woven fabric properties, fabric printing, and surface applications (e.g., heat transfer, embroideries, screen-printing), Kids wear product safety and integrity·
∎ Must have extensive experience in product development, sourcing of materials, costing, production tracking and execution of orders independently·
∎ Profound knowledge of woven garment engineering and production processes is required·
∎ Have sound knowledge of fabrics and an excellent network of fabric, print, embroidery & trims suppliers·
∎ Must be capable to handle buyers independently· Should have ideas about effective communication for raw materials booking and delivery·
∎ Strong interpersonal skills, ability to interact and build relationships and work as a team.·
∎ Should be well-groomed, smart and energetic·
∎ Strong presentation and delivery skills· Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
