Experience:
Diploma in Automobile Engineering.
Additional training or certification in vehicle maintenance, road safety, or transport operations will be an advantage.
Should Have an excellent knowledge on Transport Management & Maintenance.
Should have excellent knowledge on different kind of vehicle.
Should be very smart to handle an entire department.
Should have proper communication skill with driver and others member of the team at the same time.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Should be very good in reporting on time.
The Transport Officer is responsible for overseeing and managing transportation operations within an organization. This role involves coordinating vehicle fleets, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and optimizing logistics for efficient movement of goods or personnel.
Preparing monthly budget, monthly Expenditure Report, and other reports as and when required by the Management.
Develop and implement transportation strategies to improve efficiency and manage trips to reduce costs.
Ensure the day-to-day tasks such as monitoring and managing daily transportation activities, route planning, scheduling, resource allocation and management, and driver supervision.
Maintain liaison and coordination with BRTA, Local Police, Transport Vendors, Police, Government Agencies, and other parties in relation to smooth operations of Transport departments.
Ensure that the vehicles' TAX Token, Fitness, road permit, etc. are updated and maintain records accordingly, and make necessary arrangements for new vehicle registration.
Attend the accident or other sites and deal with the situation. Ensure the smooth operation of transport maintenance.
Ensure the scheduled checks on the vehicle and spare parts. Initiate periodic inspection plans for the fleet and generate technical reports for individual vehicles.
Monitor and Manage Vehicle Tracking Systems (VTS) and Inventory Management Systems.
Verifying of fuel consumption of all vehicles by checking and controlling the KPL (kilometers per liter) of each one.
Meet your targets and those of the team.
Overseeing the daily maintenance of vehicles in the fleet.
Conducting vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
Monitoring driver qualifications and arrange training.
Maintaining Service records of all vehicles & checking all relevant bills and vouchers before sending them for final approval. Any other related task as assigned by the management.
To check the staffs / driver's attendance, extra hour work before sending for payment.
To initiate disciplinary action for the Driver & departmental staffs committing misconduct.
Any other tasks assigned by the Senior Authority.
