Job Responsibilities:
∎ Network Support: Install, configure, and maintain the organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and other networking equipment. Troubleshoot network issues, such as connectivity problems, network congestion, and performance bottlenecks. Monitor network usage and make recommendations for improvements.
∎ Hardware Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, including servers, workstations, routers, switches, and other network devices. Perform routine hardware maintenance tasks, such as upgrading components, replacing faulty parts, and ensuring proper ventilation and power supply.
∎ Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware and network-related issues reported by end-users or detected through monitoring tools. Provide technical support and guidance to users experiencing network or hardware problems. Escalate complex issues to appropriate teams or vendors for resolution.
∎ System Administration: Assist in system administration tasks, including user account management, access controls, and system backups. Ensure compliance with security policies and procedures, including regular software patching and updates. Monitor system performance and resource utilization.
∎ Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Maintain accurate records of network configurations, hardware inventory, and troubleshooting procedures. Create technical documentation, user guides, and FAQs to facilitate knowledge sharing and self-help resources for end-users. Train users on basic network troubleshooting and best practices.
∎ Vendor Management: Collaborate with external vendors and service providers for procurement, support, and maintenance of network and hardware components. Evaluate vendor proposals, negotiate contracts, and manage relationships to ensure efficient and cost-effective services.
∎ Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices related to networking and hardware infrastructure. Identify opportunities for process improvements, system enhancements, and cost optimizations. Propose and implement solutions to enhance network performance, reliability, and security.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 25 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of network protocols, such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN. Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points. Familiarity with server hardware, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
∎ Problem-Solving Abilities: Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve network and hardware issues effectively. Ability to troubleshoot complex problems and follow systematic troubleshooting methodologies.
∎ Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with end-users, vendors, and team members. Ability to explain technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
∎ Teamwork and Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
